Accessibility Statement

Northframe Web Studio is committed to making northframewebstudio.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, and keyboard-only navigation.

Conformance target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the ADA and most accessibility regulations. This is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time fix — we test and improve this site on a rolling basis as it evolves.

What we've built in

• Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading structure on every page
• A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users, so the navigation doesn't have to be tabbed through on every page
• Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields — not just a color change, so keyboard focus is always easy to locate
• Text and interface colors checked against WCAG AA contrast minimums (4.5:1 for body text)
• Alt text on every meaningful image, and decorative graphics (icons, background canvases) hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise
• Labeled form fields with clear error and status messages announced to screen readers via aria-live regions
• Respect for your operating system's "reduce motion" setting — animations and scroll effects are disabled automatically when that preference is on
• A responsive layout that works with browser zoom and on small screens without horizontal scrolling

Known limitations

Some decorative elements — the animated hero grid, the mesh title effect, and the interactive globe on the homepage — are purely visual and marked as hidden from assistive technology; no information is conveyed exclusively through them. If you find a spot where that isn't true, please tell us (see below).

Third-party content

Checkout for maintenance plans is handled by Stripe's hosted checkout page, and our free site health-check tool runs on a separate subdomain — both are outside our direct control, but both are built by vendors who publish their own accessibility commitments.

We also build accessibility into the sites we deliver for clients — semantic markup, alt text, labeled forms, and sufficient color contrast are part of our standard build process, not an add-on.
