Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of northframewebstudio.com and any website build, maintenance plan, or care plan ("Services") purchased from Northframe Web Studio ("Northframe," "we," "us"). By using this site, submitting the contact form, or purchasing a plan, you agree to these terms.

Services

Northframe designs and builds websites for small businesses on a project basis, and offers ongoing Basic Maintenance and Care Plan subscriptions covering hosting, security updates, backups, and minor edits. The specific scope of a one-time build is agreed in writing (email or a signed proposal) before work begins; the site's published pricing tiers are starting ranges, not fixed quotes, until scope is confirmed.

Payment and subscriptions

• One-time website builds are billed per the agreed proposal — typically a deposit to begin work and a final payment before launch. The deposit is non-refundable once we've begun scoping or design work, but if you cancel before any work has started, we'll refund it in full. If we cancel a project before completion, we'll refund any portion of the deposit not yet earned by work already done.
• Maintenance and Care Plan subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time via the link in your Stripe billing receipt email, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future billing; we don't provide refunds for the current billing period already paid.
• If a subscription payment fails and isn't resolved, we may pause hosting and maintenance coverage until payment is current.

What's included in a plan

Basic Maintenance and Care Plan subscriptions include hosting, uptime monitoring, security patching, backups, and a limited allowance of minor content edits per month, as described on the services page. Larger redesigns, new features, or significant content overhauls fall outside plan coverage and are quoted separately.

Ownership

Once a one-time build is paid in full, you own the final website files and content we created for you. Northframe retains the right to showcase completed work (screenshots, links, descriptions) in our own portfolio and marketing, unless you request otherwise in writing. Any third-party assets we license on your behalf (fonts, stock imagery, plugins) remain subject to their own license terms.

If a maintenance or hosting subscription is canceled, we'll provide reasonable assistance transferring your site's files and domain within a limited window, but ongoing hosting, backups, and support end with the subscription.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for the accuracy of content, copy, and images you provide us to publish, and for making sure you have the rights to use them. You're responsible for keeping any account credentials we issue you (e.g., for a client dashboard or hosting panel) secure.

Availability

We aim for high uptime on hosted sites but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability — third-party infrastructure (hosting, DNS, payment processing) can occasionally fail outside our control. We'll act promptly to resolve any outage on plans we host.

Limitation of liability

Northframe's services are provided as described, without warranties beyond what's stated here or in a signed proposal. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months prior to the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or business, arising from use of a site we built or maintained.

Third-party services

Checkout for maintenance and care plans is processed by Stripe under its own terms. Contact form submissions are stored via Supabase. We're not responsible for outages or issues originating from these third-party providers, though we'll work to resolve their impact on your service where we can.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of our Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
